A note on the first edition
This is the first edition of From AI Literacy to AI Fluency, and it is a work in progress. AI moves quickly. These essays were written and reported as the events, tools, and questions they describe were unfolding. Since then, names have changed, new capabilities have appeared, and some predictions have become easier to question. The publication dates help place each essay in the moment that shaped it.
I have brought the essays together because the questions keep following me from one setting to another: from music to libraries, from the classroom to the things we can now build for ourselves. Read them as a record of that exploration. Where does an idea still hold up? Where would you push it further? What has changed since it was written?
Superscript numbers point directly to the matching numbered entries in the bibliography at the back of the book. The same source keeps the same number wherever it appears. In the digital editions, you can follow the number to the citation and open the source from there.
